五月十号就考了，求拍independent writing！
由于以前考过GRE时间也较紧, 只花了三天看toefl作文，这是第二篇。希望各位小马拍啊！谢谢
100. Some people think that governments should spend as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology. Other people disagree and think that this money should be spent on more basic needs. Which one of these opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
First of all, the information explosion time indeed brings about a lot of conveniences to our daily lives. Thank to the computer, it saves the trouble of watching news on the newspaper and shopping in the supermarket as well as writing letters to others. However, on the other side of the coin, certain pitfalls resulting from the broad use of computer have emerged, which even becomes the obstacles on the way of our development. For example, many school students cannot master the calculation as well as their former generation mostly in that they are too dependent on the computer. Even some frequently using words always fail to be correctly spelled by the contemporary students without turning help to the computer or dictionary.
Secondly, we should realize that some of basic needs of people haven't been meet by the government especially in some developing countries. For instance, in some Asian and African countries, people even still suffer starvation and the shortage of clean water. As to these cases, even if the network and the computer technology have been fully developed, people are still leading a suffering life. As a result, some basic needs of people should be on the top priority of the government.
Finally, the increased investment on the basic needs may largely facilitates the development of computer technology. Take the education for example. Nowadays the update in the field of computer technology have been so frequent that without more emphasis laid on education how can people master the skill of using the various kinds of software? How could they develop more and more useful and powerful equipment to improve people's live and the development of the whole society?
In the final analysis, government should put the development of the computer on the agenda of the government however, it should satisfy the basic needs of its people which is the priority of its duty.
