考得还好,就是时间不如模考时那么充足,可能也是自己多少有点紧张的缘故

There is evidence now that Homo erectus has (sharper) mantal skills than their (predecessors祖先). They constructed the first (standardized标准化的 tool) for hunting and (butchering屠宰). They created (an extraordinary特别的;非凡的) stone <implement>, a large (teardrop-)shaped hand (ax) whose design and (symmetry对称,匀称) reveal a (keen) sence (of aesthetics). ; t" P! @' m! G5 aIn addition, Homo erectus was the first (hominid原始人类) to use fire. This discovery (enticed怂恿,诱骗) them to cook meat, which they (could flavor味道) and keep from (spilling泄露) by flame, and which (paleontologists古生物学者) now believe may have given them a new disease. Some fossil bones of Homo erectus are (grossly非常) deformed畸形的,丑陋的, and poleonlogists have noted that this conditions is similar to that found (in) people today who have been (exposed) to chronic (overdoses服药过量<v.n.>) of vitamin A. (Apparently显然地) Homo erectus first got this disease by eating large amounts of naimal liver.

1 e7 S9 F! \. J' D0 aI understand your professor has been dicussing several Eastern Woodland (Indian tribes部落) in your study of Native American curltures. As you have probably learn, the Eastern Woodland Indians get their name from the (forest-covered areas) of the Eastern United States where they lived. The earliest Woodland curltures (date) back 9000 years, but the group we`ll focus on dates back only to about 700 A.D. We now call these Native Americans the <Mississippian密西西比的> curlture, because they settled in the Mississippi River valley.% ^, c9 J1 b0 z1 d2 n) J

This civilization is known for its flat-topped (monuments纪念碑 这个都没听出来) called temple (mounds小山,土墩). They were made of earth and used as temples and offical residences住宅. (The experiment is) based on the well-established observation that babies <stare> a longer if they don`t see what they espect to see. First, we`re going to let two dolls moves slowly in front of the babies. The babies will see the two dolls disappear behind a screen. Your job is to record, in seconds, how long the babies stare at the dolls when the screen is removed.4 P$ s* A! X8 w4 a( l& _* Y

It seems remakeable to think that such young children can count. My own research has <convinced说服,使相信> me that they have this ability from birth.
