116. People learn in different ways. Some people learn by doing things; other people learn by reading about things; others learn by listening to people talk about things. Which of these methods of learning is best for you? Use specific examples to support your choice.
When it comes to the way people learn knowledge, different people are prone to different ways: reading, listening, experiencing and so on. In my view, I prefer to read than other ways to acquire knowledge as my inclination because of it is convenient, efficient, and enjoyable and so on.
The main reason for my propensity is that I can easily learn the knowledge I need, in a words, it is very convenient. For example, in the library, there are millions of books involving hundreds of subjects and fields, philosophy, history, art, literature, economics and the list will go on. Therefore, if we desire to learn the knowledge relevant to a certain subject, we don't need to bother others, just sitting in the library to enjoy learning.
Anther equally essential reason that I prefer to read is its extremely efficiency. When we are required to write a paper or article, we have to firstly learn the facts and backgrounds to understand what we really need to write, so the most efficient way is to find a book in the library or in the internet to read. Then, we will easily understand the idea of how to organizing the paper.
In addition, comparing to the past, reading is no more than a tedious work but a very enjoyable experience, since we the internet provides us a tremendous amount of information and knowledge. Most of the reading materials on the internet are illustrated by beautiful pictures and proper commentary, which can make us understand the reading materials deeply and comprehensively.
There are still many other reasons that can account for my fondness for learning by reading, but the obvious ones have been presented as above: convenient, efficient and enjoyable. In a word, reading is the main way I acquire knowledge.
