It is more important for students to read books about real events than it is for them to read novels.
It is difficult to choose reading materials in such a world full of kinds of books. There is a public controversy nowadays on this phenomenon that we should read some books about real events or novels. Those who criticize books about real events argue that books about real events are so boring as a kind of reading material. However, this idea is strongly opposed by numerous people who hold the opinion that novels that is something ideal have nothing to do with us. They stand on the ground that books about real events are pretty useful for obtain of knowledge. As far as I am concerned, books about real events are ought to play a more important role than novels.
Firstly, no one will deny that books about real events will help us with communication with others. Most of us concern about events taking place in our daily life because reading newspapers is a habit of a large number of people. This habit brings us not only recent knowledge but also a common subject with others. Nothing is more important to communication than a common subject. No longer was it reachless to success with efficient communication. Take example for one of my friend Jack. He is good at communication with others. Owning to his accumulation of real events, he is able to find something common with almost everyone. He has a large number of friends who can help him with most of his troubles. His achievement depends largely on his reading about real events.
Furthermore, there is growing evidence that individuals' opinions which we can get out of books about real events have an amazing impact on development of country. Reading books about real events which makes us catch up with society gives us opportunity to advance advices for our own sake. Two heads are better than one.If all of us give a suggestion for our government, our government should have tremendous choices to take. Then it could make a democratic decision benefiting majority of this country. According to a recent statistic on the internet, up to 34 percent of decisions made by the government take public opinions as a reference. Many more examples may be easily found.
The growing concern over the effect of novels, nevertheless, I believe, is not without reason. It is clear that reading novels is a pretty good thing for relaxation. Our tense nerves could be released efficiently. We can imagine a travel with a interesting science fiction. Then we would enjoy it lying along a wonderful foreshore. What a comfortable thing it is! Although novels have substantial advantages, it can not compare with books about real events.
Taking into account all the factors, we may safely draw the conclusion that books about real events plays a more dramatically role than novels. Everyone is a part of this society, so everyone has responsibity to contribute our energy to the society. It is exactly the books about real events that connect us with the society. I am convinced that books about real events benefit us both in the development of ourselves and our nation.
