交稿了!还是有一定难度的。。今天做了个听力是支持concept的。。我还是支持fact。。。
狠拍吧!284字

Facts or concepts? My mathematic teacher forces on facts while my chemistry teacher thinks concepts are more important. According to my experiences of these two subjects and these two styles of study, I am fully convinced that facts worth more weight.

First of all, concepts are basic of facts. People identify some ideas depending on observation of a great number of facts. After summarizing the sameness between similar objects, they define it by a noun, the fact, which is describe by a sentence about similarity. For example, we are frequently refer whale as mammal, for the reasons that they breath by lung and born the next geration as a baby whale. It is the fact that group whale as a member of mammal. So, fact is the primary part.

Then, it is obviours that few people recognize things by comparing their characteriscs with the concepts. So the ideas are almost ignored, for their useless. We could recognize the liquid that
colorless, no-smelling and no-toxic is the water, the object we drink. We have the ability to recognize it when we were very young, even when we did not know what is water. The lack of concepts does not affect us to realize things as we know their facts. We are familiar with them as a result of their characters, but not our knowlege about their concepts.

From what has been discussed above, we could find out that the concepts might be useful to summarize something, but people could not remember them soon because their low frequency of being used. Bur hardly could we forget the facts, which are visible and distinct all the time. So, I never remain suspicious to the importance of facts.

交晚了。。。

Students in the school spend varied time on different issues. They usually have more time to study the ideas and concepts than to learn the facts. Although the ideas and theory are dramatically significant for the students, it has to be admitted that the facts also play an indisputable role on the education of the students. As far as I am concerned, I am firmly convinced that the facts are more important than ideas and concepts.

Compared to the ideas and concepts on the books, the facts we learn from our daily life or experiences appear to be more practical and useful. According to the latest investigation in China, more than 85.3 percent students in the universities can not completely understand the knowledge they learn from the books or other materials, and they tend to forget half of knowledge after a month of the final test. That means most of the knowledge they learn will be forgot and virtually never be used in study or research. While another survey shows that 95.6% of the facts college students learn from the books or practice can be applied in their further study or career or, maybe, in their whole life.

Another reason why I hold the opinion that facts are more significant than ideas and concepts is that students are more interested in the facts, because they think the concepts are usually extremely boring, and thus they are more easily to learn the facts after they learn the related theory. For example, in most cases, I feel the concepts on the books are so abstract that I have to read them three to five times in order to understood them. They are boring and, in fact, I will feel tired after I read out them for many times. However, I am more likely to read the facts and I can completely understand them for one or two times.

No one can deny the significance of the ideas and concepts, while it also should not be ignored of the considerable functions of the facts because it can provide the students more useful and practical knowledge and make the study interesting. In conclusion, I prefer to think the facts are more important than the ideas and concepts.

又写了一个小时~晕~360字左右
If someone asks him/herself the question “why do you learn knowledge?” I maintain that most people’s opinions are that the usage of theory in hands-on operation is the only aim that they learn it. In the other word, in my point of view, practicing is of more significant than obtain truth.

As an old saying that an experience breeds a truth. In the other word, whatever truth derives from thousands of millions of practices. In contrast, just by studying knowledge from books absolutely fails to acquire any hands-on experiences. But there are some people who are still under the illusion that the theory is paramount in everything and believe that the practical world is a replica of the theoretical world. Most of them prefer to research truths from books rather than use acknowledge to the real life. Virtually, if they can plug themselves into an activity, they will swiftly find that there are numerous differences between the truth and the practice and there are a number of knowledge that the books do not go into they can obtain in action.

The phenomenon lies in not only commercial and scientific regions but consist in educational system. In contemporary schools including any frame of education, either scholars or teachers who pay their attentions on theoretical education let less opportunity for students to excise their abilities of practicing. And the way used to judge a student who is excellent or not is his/her scores in tests which lead to an increasing of students who are called “the machine of examine”. They just consecutively recite truths in books again and again. Maybe they really grasp those theories, but, which can not be used in real life merely is nothing.

Experiences which came from pioneers, nevertheless, benefit our action to achieve rapidly. The experiences could defend us from a wrong way when we are going into a new realm. The efficiency of working or studying is often enhanced due to conform to the ancestors’ instruction. In the other word, the truth is supposed to be applied to the practice, or else the truth is not anything for us. Therefore, the practice is more crucial to us.

原谅偶吧,偶还是小孩子,这几天贪玩去了

就快考了,用了模板,掐了时间。感觉一般般啦…………

I am always amazed when I hear people saying that it is mort vital for students to understand ideas and concepts than it is for them to learn facts, and that if only students understand ideas and concepts, they would have no inclination to learn facts. Even if one would not know from concrete examples (Thomas Edison's inventions, for instance) that learn facts lead to the invention of bulb light, one could deduce it from two conspicuous aspects as follows.

The most consequent point of my penchant for learning facts is that this way can make us smoothly apply our knowledge. According to a recent survey done by Chinese Employment Investigation Organization (CEIO), more than 9 out of 10 graduated students fell difficult to be integrated into their work. Because they can not turn the theoretical knowledge which they learn from college classes to practical account. They have to go out of their way to learn the facts in their work again. Then they are able to link the abstract ideas and concepts with their jobs, and complete their tasks perfectly. Imagine that if the students study more facts in the classes they will penetrate society easily.

Another Reason can be seen by every person is that learning facts gives us more practical experience than understanding ideas and concepts. It can be well exemplified by the following case. WuZang, a noted general in Song dynasty, learned a great deal of military thought from books on military strategy. Ironically, he failed his first war and died in battle on account of his own tactic. All of this can demonstrate how crucial learning facts it is. Only through obtaining real experience from facts, can students understand the primate meaning of knowledge.

Admittedly, understanding, to some extent, may exert a relatively positive effect on study. For instance, it can save a large amount of time form learning facts, and make us accumulate knowledge more effectively. However, the inevitable negative consequences considerably overshadow its merits and therefore make it difficult for student to apply the knowledge into practice. So I reinforce my standpoint that it is more essential to learn facts than understand ideas and concepts.

周日考试,最后一篇,30分钟多,检查拼写,411words

“Nothing is stronger than fact”, as many people believed. Currently, some people still deem that illustrating someone the ideas and concepts is more useless than just showing them the facts, especially for our children, meanwhile to some people, the ideas and concepts are much more effective for education. Being a child, myself, based on the fact that I have not got my children, I consider the ideas and concepts that gave by our parents are more critical for us growing.

Ideas and concepts are the origin of facts, which can make the children to understand the world much more deeply. To reveal them the surface is not as effective as to disclose them the essence. Tom Junior, one of my neighbors, as a junior in high school, has constantly been confused about many things and keeps needing someone to told him how to get to know and how to do since his parents always tells him what is wrong or what else is right without telling him why. I wondered how he could do such things when his parents are not around.

Furthermore, ideas and concepts give us the spirit to create new things that could push the edge of civilization further, which is the one indispensable thing for the modern world. Nowadays, especially in recent years, triggering the students to think is already on the list of higher education's syllabus, which is impossible if all of the students were shown only the facts that they could see by themselves. Jenny, the top girl in my university, has posted several articles to one of the most famous magazines in my country by the reason that she always has the most significant opinions about everything around us because she was grown from a family that taught her how to go through the skins and into the hearts.

In addition, facts are strong. They are effective by all the powerful undeniable things from them. Children need to see the truth because they cannot keep living in a veiling world, even though sometimes it is nice. However, they will not see the truth if we did not teach them how to recognize the nature.

As an old word says, "giving someone the fish is not as good as giving them the rod". Children would be much more creative if we explain them all the ideas and concepts, which is the most important thing that we should do for them, including me, as a conclusion.

As an old saying goes, "Fact is the only way to detect the ideas and concepts". So, there is a controversial discussion between whether students should focus on studying facts or ideas and concepts. From where I stand, I cling to that students should spend more time on facts.

To begin with, fact, as a method to study, exerts a positive effect on comprehension of idea and concepts. Surely would make us learn knowledge more coherently, especially ideas and concepts. I can think of no better illustration as following case. My major is civil engineer, our course included many difficult and abstract courses, such as construction mechanics, statics, material mechanics and so on. There are uncounted ideas and concepts in it. Only after we take the course to attend the factory and learn facts we breakthrough the difficulties. Hardly can I imagine that if we can not learn facts, it can be extremely a trouble for our courses.

Furthermore, when an idea or concepts are been set up, how can we make sure whether it is true? Facts, we own a large debt on facts. First, let us date back to the history. World civilization existed for such a long time and there a large number of noted people in philosophy, physical, mathematical, chemistry and so on. They have settled some famous concept that handed down generation by generation. Aristotle, the great philosopher, he brings about an ideas "Two objects in different weight are fall down at the same time". But it is overthrow by the experiment, the facts. Two iron balls in different weights fall down the tower, they arrived the ground at the same time. So, fact had tested this concept.

Admittedly, spend our time on ideas and concepts also have their merits, we can have a whole comprehension of the technology and knowledge. Besides, inventions are beginning with the ideals and concepts, than put them into facts.
However, facts can make we have better comprehension, and fact can be the way to test the concepts, without it, ideas are meaningless. Obviously, we can draw conclusion from that the merits of study facts overshadow its disadvantages, so, I still cling to my point.

Should students learn ideas and concepts more important than facts, as some people believe here? Or some people oppose here? To be frank, as for me, it is too hasty to say which one is more important. And the importance of them should depend on the different circumstances.

Two distinct curricula exist within students' lives. The obvious one--the overt curriculum--consists of the classes listed on the student's transcript and the knowledge the students acquire in ideas and concepts, The less obvious--but with the equal importance --is the covert curriculum, which is composed of  the facts.

Let's talk about ideas and concepts first, learning ideas and concepts has an great influence on the students' further studying. To some extent, the basic concepts and ideas is the prerequisite for students as groundwork to skyscrapers. Without the basic groundwork, how workers to build a skyscraper. Similarly, a student who has no ideas about concepts , how could he learn much more complex knowledge.

Let's assume that a person who has a large scope of ideas and concepts, but he has little practice experience or has never seen the facts about the ideas by his own. He would just simply believe that the ideas and concepts is the truth for ever. Hardly can he have any doubt. In this condition, to come up with some new ideas, and to have a deeper understanding of these ideas would be very difficult for him. Therefore, students should also learn some facts.

Ideas and concepts are the experiences which come from facts. They have been found by giants in the past. The better way to go toward quikly is stand on the shoulder of giants. with the equal status, in today's rapidly and unpredictably changing world, attempting to learn from the past is no longer the wisest strategy. Students should combine the ideas and concepts what they have learned from books with the facts which they have realized by their own experiments, and then use their own minds and senses to judge. This is the best way to learn, and it's also the most importance of students.

To sum up, learning ideas and concepts carry the same weight as learing facts. What we should do is to learn some ideas combined with relative facts. Only in this way, we can have a better understanding about we have learnt.

控制时间在三十分钟内写完后,发现文章完全没法看,满篇拼写错误,论点不清,论据不合适。。。于是又花了一小时,改成现在这个样子。大家很拍吧,五月四号就上考场了!

Confucius, the greatest philosopher and educator China has ever seen, famously commented that," Learning without practice is not a effective way." Nowadays, here goes a heated debate on which is more important between understanding the concepts and learning the facts. Just as what Confucius said, we can't learn without discovering the facts. Therefore, I insist on my standpoint that learning facts is of vital importance.

First of all, facts speak louder than words. The learning of the facts is more convincing than the obscure concept. A famous experiment operated by Galileo on the leaning tower in Pisa was a strong proof. At that time, everyone believed that the heaver object would fall faster without seeing the fact by eyes since it was an idea of Aristotle who is the most influential Greek philosopher. However, after the seeing the result of the experiment, everyone was shocked, because the two balls with different weight fell on to the ground synchronously. Therefore, learning the fact is helpful to further understand a concept.

Besides, the destination of learning the concepts is to put them into utility. Just take the process of learning a foreign language as example. We always learn the basic grammar points at first, such as the pronunciation of the letters, the structures of the sentences, etc. However, our goal is not grasp the basic rules, more importantly, we aim at speaking the language fluently. So we must come to the language use in real life. Listening to the radio, watching foreign films, reading newspaper in that language would help you to accomplish the language learning. Hence, if the learning of the concepts is the progress, then the learning of facts is the consequence.

Although, the learning of the concepts is essential, we can't operate a machine before we read the instruction, when comes to the question, which is more important, I should say the learning of the facts. To sum up, the discovering of the practical usage is not only convincing for understanding the concepts, but also making the learning more effective. Also the study of the concepts is aim to put them into the applied purpose. Therefore, when we learn knowledge or a brand new technology, we should think much of the practical usage to the basic concepts itself.

1、Being a child, myself, based on the fact that I have not got my children, I consider the ideas and concepts that gave by our parents are more critical for us growing.

Being a child....这个我觉得还是写Being a youngd adult..好一点..Children 好像太小了。。
based on the fact that I have not got my children...好像有点多余,我觉得没有也可以

2、I wondered how he could do such things when his parents are not around.
这句我觉得跟前面那个问题的表面还是深入衔接还是有点不太连贯
个人意见:His parents limited his ability to find out things by just showing him surface facts. So I wondered how he could decide for himself without parents when he meet new problem.
