To begin with, the essential characteristic of a good neighbor isconsideration, which would greatly benefit the relationship amongneighbors. As we all know, everybody wants to live in a quiet andagreeable environment. However, some people always play music loudly,no matter at daytime or in evening. In such noisy circumstance, howcould you concentrate on your study and finish your paper on time? Thisdeed would disturb your normal life even affect your relationship. Bycontrary, considerate neighbors will not do such activities, moreover,they will tell their children not to pick the flowers of theirneighbors and not to litter on other's drive way. Therefore, concerningothers when you are enjoying life is a basic standard for a harmoniousatmosphere in neighborhoods.

People always encounter some unpredictable situations thatthey are unable to deal with. For example, good neighbors would glad totake care of your kids while you are not at home for a few days. Theywould provide the children with food and play games with kids until youcome back. Suppose that your parent unfortunately get an acute sicknessand need some medicine immediately. Good neighbors would offer you aride to the pharmacy, even though it is pouring or snowing outside.Nobody will be unhappy when they have such warm-hearted neighbors liketheir brothers and sisters.6 J6 }( m* R$ F
Another feature of a good neighbor is respect. They know how torespect each other and not spread a rumor. In our real life, everybodymay make some mistakes. However some people like to criticize theperson who did the fault. This kind of deed will definitely harm theiremotion and destroy the relationship between people. In contrast, agood neighbor would help him or her to correct the mistake and pass thehard time, not just watch and talk around.* m- x* G g7 k, {" }7 ~
Admittedly, some people may think that other characteristics areindispensable, such as humor and honest. In fact, these merits couldalso improve the relationship and tighten the connection of neighborsto some extent. However, when all the values of those personalities arecarefully compared, I think that the three characteristics mentionedabove, consideration, warm heart and respect, outweigh any otherqualities and greatly contribute to the relationship in ourneighborhood and make our community more pleasurable.
