Besides the parent and lover, it is only the friend that bolster your moral, nourish you spirit, comfort your heart, bless your fortune and enrich your life. To be similar or not to be? This is a question when choosing the type of friends. While it is true that we can share a great deal things, such as hobby, fondness of movie and political orientation, with the friends similar to us, it is not to say that we should be stranger or even enemy with the people different from us. We do need both types of friends, similar and different. If friends are considered as the most important ingredient in the recipe of life, then similar friends are sweet and fragrant seasoning while different friends are hot and spicy flavor.

For one thing, friends similar to you could be your partner. Because of similar opinion, thinking and hobbies, people could find that the experience with such type of friends would be pleasure, relaxed and fantastic. Nothing could recharge my battery like a warm conversation, a talk about fondness of hobby and a share of same kind of movie, songs and book. With this type of friends, people can practice sports together and cheer for the same sports team. With this type of friends, people will find mountain no longer high and ocean no more far away since they have companion to reach together. Moreover, people would procure professional success if they have a plenty of friends who bear same the dream, same eagerness and same courage. The google founder guys, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, could serve as an example of this type of friends since they both have same strong passion for internet searching. Their friendship somewhat help build an internet empire. Therefore, Friends similar to you adds the melody in an otherwise dull life.

For another, friends different to you could be your adviser. Friendship that flows from the heart can not be frozen by diversity, as the water that flows from the spring can not congeal in winter.Different perspective towards problems could spark the innovative idea. Different belief and custom would open up new world of fantasy. Different background would bring up a deepen thinking. People with different character and taste still can assemble a team to struggle for success. A good example concerns football Coach Herman Boone and Coach Bill Yoast who were living in the era of Martin Luther king jr. Herman is an African-American who is rigorous and good at attack while Bill is a Caucasian who is gentle and good at defense. However, it is their friendship beyond race and divergence that not only cultivated the camaraderie between the white players and black players but also made the T.C. Williams High School football team won the Virginia state championship in 1971. This event improved the race relationship in Alexandra city which had been in turmoil due to forced desegregation for generations. Therefore, friends don't have to be exactly the same.

To sum up, the similarity or diversity is not the main key to open up the world of friendship. It is the love that makes friendship goes around. Enjoy the love from similarity and diversity, people will find the friendship like the rainbow to brighten the life no matter how severe the storm is.

Thanks to internet and globalization, the world would turn to a small global village. Therefore, it certainly possible that, one day, the newly neighbor moving to your community speaks the different language, or you dream lover will use another language to say “I love you". How to adapt to such trend of modern society transition? One effective method is to encourage the children to begin learning a foreign language as soon as they start school. This method would be not only beneficial for the children themselves but also propitious to the global competitiveness of country.

For the children, the benefits that the children gained from learning a foreign language as soon as they start school would be countless. Learning a second language at an early age has a positive effect on intellectual growth as well as mental development. By practicing the second foreign language, students would develop more flexibility in thinking, greater sensitivity to language, and a better ear for listening, resulting in the improvement in his or her mother tongue in turn. Moreover, this benefit would open for the children the door to other cultures and help a child understand and appreciate people from other countries, the chance for children to broaden their horizon. Practically, this benefit would give a student a head start in language requirements for college and job opportunities in many future careers. Therefore, the foreign language would be a real asset for the children.

For the country, children learning a foreign language early would help the country keep competitive and guarantee the national security. Currently, multi-national corporations and governments are creating a demand for personnel with a global perspective and international communication skills. The foreign language would help children-the future employees--become more competitive for such challenge. The more competitive are the employee, the more competitive is their motherland. In addition, foreign language learning promotes the values of humankind, providing opportunities for students to gain knowledge of cultures of people beyond political, economic, cultural, and linguistic boundaries. Especially at this time of global terrorism and violence, which have often been caused by ignorance, foreign language skills are powerful communication tools to understand differences. When these students become the professional workers, they will help achieve the goal of the harmonious society.

To sum up, children should begin learning a foreign language as soon as they start school. This strategy would not be a choice but a prerequisite for the development of children and competiveness of country. Only by doing this strategy, children and country would have the bright future.

As the mordern world is accellerating its globalization,it’s unavoidable that children should master the most widely spoken language—English.Under the current circumstances,the competion, ranging from the job pursuit  to the oppurtunities of dy abroad,is becoming more and more fierce. To achieve all the above, one of the core competence is the capability of speaking a fluent English.I am strongly infavor of that the children should embark on learning a foreign language as soon as the start school.
In the first place,it’s very easier for people to learn a foreign language when they are younger childern who seem to be have gifts for language  than they do when mature.Children are possessing curious minds that they spare no efforts to imitate everything they have seen and heard.And children seems excited and inexhaustible to practice and even show off what they just pick up from others ,especially the pratical skills,say language.More over,it’s undeniable that children have a much deeper impression and a long-lasting mermory of what they’ve learn in the elimentary school.Because at that time ,they haven’t accumulated so much complicated knowledge that may intervene in accepting new knowledge.It’s natural that it’s much more difficult for you to draw a picture on a paper full of stuff than that on a paper with noting on it.
Secondly,if children undertake the task of learing a foreign language as soon as they start school.In this way, children have cultivated an excellent foundation of the certain foreign language,because of which they definitely have advantages over the peers who get off the mark latter.The evidence is obvious in the colledge campus.The colledge students from rural areas,compared with the urban counterparts, probably may lose numerous chances because of their awful English. They may never hear of English before entering the middle school and don’t realize the significance of learning English. As a result, they have to study industriously and spend more time on English after losing what they should deserve.
However,it may lay a heavier burden of children’s shoulder,which may lead to the unwillingness and dislike of study.Thus it’s extraodinary important to arrange the study scheme in a stable and appropriate pace.

Some people would like to choose friends who have the similar personalities or interests, because it is easy for them to communicate with each other and they can find common topics when gathering together. However, as to me, I prefer friends who are different from me.

One of the uncontroversial reasons for people to contract with distinct people is to receive information. Although similar people would be able to provide some information, they analyze it in the same angle as you and this of course is not conducive to enlarge a person's perspectives. On the contrary, friends who hold opposite opinions to you may provide a completely new insight. When friends who conceive different ideas get together, they would exchange their ideas, which differ from change apple, one person one apple still. Actually, they possess at least two ideas which are beneficial to understand a fact thoroughly.

What is more, when you feel blue, a different thought will enable your friends console you from distinctive angle and give you some effective approaches, while people whose viewpoint is the same to you may have similar trouble, let alone to help you out. For instance, both my sister and I are indoor type and too shy to communicate with others, nonetheless, our teacher left us an assignment to interview a well-known elite in my place. I had no idea how to overcome my shyness and hence appealed to my sister for help, but she was confused by such problem. As a consequence, I had to turn to John, one of my best friends, a person who is very out-going as well, for a piece of advice. He told me not care about oneself too much and introduced a famous scientist to me. Due to his encourage, I completed my assignment successfully.

In sum, even though friends who share the similar opinions with you may support you in some cases, they could not give you efficient information from totally different aspects as well as courage which enhance your ability and confidence in essence. In modern society, foreign language has become a significant skill for people to master. Possessing such capacity, one can have more opportunity to contact with the world outside and receive a decent job as well. As to children, the advantages of learning foreign language is much more than the points mentioned above, as a result, I firmly stand with the argument that children should start learning a foreign language as soon as they enter school.

Childhood is undeniable the most precious time in a person's life, which is full of curiosity and excellent memory, and therefore is considered to be the best period to gather variety of information, of course, including foreign language. Apparently, it is really a tough task for an adult to remember 200 new words per day; on the contrary, with regard to children, it is just a piece of cake. Once they remember the words and phrases in mind, they are not likely to forget them or confuse them with other similar words. On the other hand, due to their tremendous curiosity, they are eager to study new things which are also beneficial to their foreign language learning.

Because some foreign languages, such as English to people in non-English speaking countries, have become a tool for them to obtain the edge-cutting information in other fields, mastering a foreign language enable children to enhance their abilities in other academic areas, such as math, physics and chemistry. For instance, they may look through the latest books in biochemistry in English. Maybe at first they do not have any awareness in biochemistry, but after reading those specific English books, they grow enormous interests in this area and may become a biochemical scientist in the future! All these achievements and success can be attributed to the learning of a second language from the beginning of his education.

With respect to children who own an extra ability to speak out a foreign language compared with their peers, they will have more confidence and courage. It goes without saying that they are more apt to speaker with foreigners freely and courageously. In contrast, children who have a poor foreign language or even never learn foreign language may lose such precious chances to exchange ideas with foreigners and thus they may be dissatisfied with their communal ability in the future.

In sum, considering the merits of learning foreign languages in the early stage of one’s life, including their good memory and strong curiosity, the benefit to the study of other areas, and the development of their confidence and courage, children should begin their foreign language learning as soon as they start school.

Whetherwe should pay attention to choice friends who different with us, differentpeople will have different idea due to their background. As for me ,I stronglydisagree with the idea and reasons are follows.

The first reasons can be obviously seen thatyour associations who similar with you can have more habits amount you. We canhave traveling with friends who also favor being a wayfarer. In contrast,friends who work hard in study couldn’t have entire vigor in amusement areunable playing activities with us. Plus, if the schedules between you and yourfriends are different , you will
failinto the mention in the time which make you together.

Certainly, the hobbits does not in itselfexplain for friends who have similar personality with you.

Another reason which can be seen by everyperson is that communication also plays a crucial role in friendship. Optimistpeople who have aggressive idea are different from people who disappoint in everything.when you undergo the frustration, you talk with you friends ho depression ofperspective, they are unable to mitigate your agony, moreover, they likely willtender the misleading advice for you. As companies who have closely affectionwith you can more realize your characters as well as they can give morereasonable advice which more suitable for you.

Of course, friends who different with you canenhance yourself. They will talk you about shortages by yourself. When you haveto finish a work which you don’t know how to engage it ,they will attachflexible and diversity thoughts from themselves.

I strongly agree that children should get the chance to touch a foreign language as soon as they start school. The argument is justified for the reasons that young children possess better memorial skills, more spare time to practice, and more chance to develop the interest to learn a foreign language. Based on these reasons, I believe that children should obtain the education of the foreign language as soon as possible.

According to some psychological studies, young children have much better memory than adult people, and given the limited time, they can recite more vocabulary than their elder counterpart. This is very important in learning the foreign language which is different from their native one for good ability to memorize more vocabulary and grammar rules contributes to the proficient mastering in language. So when people are young, they should seize this advantage to learn a desired foreign language which they think will be beneficial to them.

Moreover, people have more time in their childhood, thereby more opportunity to practice alien language which is helpful in better grasping it. As we known, learning a language is usually time-consuming, it will cost you a lot of time and energy to study well. That confirms to the famous adage that the more you practice, the rapidly you make progress in learning it. When people are in their young ages, they always can spare more time to study foreign language, otherwise when they get older, they may find themselves busy with lots of heavy study burden
required by high schools.

Finally, I believe that young people are more easily to have interest in a foreign language if they get touch with it earlier, thereby falling into a good habit of learning it. Because when people are young, they seldom get chance to own interest in things which adult people may be interested in, such as engineering or construction, for such things are complex for them at their ages. So learning another language may inspire their curiosity in it and help them to develop an interest in it. Once feeling an interest to learn it, children may put more effort in performing well, thereby more likely to learn it well.

In sum, I support the idea that children should learn a foreign language as soon as possible. The good memory needed to learn the language, the time and possible interest they own when people are in their childhood act as important factors in mastering a foreign language well.
