It is said in this lecture that offering a four-day work week option to employees would bring some disadvantages，which differs from the main idea in the reading passage.
First of all, the speaker rejects the contents, companies will get more profits by carrying out this policy , mentioned in the passage。In fact, even if a worker that chooses to work four days a week get a lower salary, hiring more employers would result in higher cost. More workers mean more training, office space and computer. Further more, the cost of medical benefits are same no matter for a four-day workers or five-day-worker.
In addition, contrary to what is stated in the reading that job opportunities can be increased by offering a four-day option，the speaker raises the issue that some employees will find anther way to make more profits. Instead of hiring other workers, employees can also force the employers, who take the four-day option to do the same amount of work in four day. In this way, the employers may feel unhappy and no additional job will be available.
Further more, the speaker states that the workers who work four day a week have difficulties in developing their job abilities and may miss some promotion chances to advanced position. And this may ruin their living quantities. While the reading passage holds the view that by working for less time, employees can live a better live.
Therefore, the speaker has totally different opinions on the topics made in the reading.
