I do agree the speaker’s opinion that eco-tour is the most practical and effect way to preserve wildness areas in that this strategy not only help the government raise money for protecting environment but also spread the idea of environmental friendliness. However, environmentally sensitive project is not the only way to have harmony with the nature, because many people, such as non-government organizations(NGO) and some volunteers, can assist the government do better.

There is no doubt that eco-tour is a fantastic way to protect wildness areas and many countries have already carried out such plans, which turn out to be useful and helpful. We can see that with the idea of environmental friendliness, tourists enjoy their journey along with protecting the environment. What is more, after this meaningful trip, people will probably recommend the project to their friends and relatives, thus more and more people are attracted and willing to participate in the project and contribute to protecting the nature. A famous case is the Fuji Mountain. As we all know, every year this beautiful mountain attracts countless travelers to admire its fabulous sceneries especially those around the snow line, but there is no any facilities to assist people climb higher, nor can anyone use any tools. Although the rule is harsh, many people choose to challenge themselves as a respect to the nature and the life. In this way, we achieve two things at one stroke-having fun together with protecting environment.

On the contrast, we have to face the fact that the strategy above sometimes takes risk because we can not guarantee all the tourist have the awareness, that is to say, if there are lots of low literate tourists, our plan may mostly be in vain, worse more, the environment may be destroyed. Even though people realize the importance of protecting the environment, many other issues remain. When we go out, especially for traveling, we would like to drive on our own, which means plenty of exhaust are produced and relived in the air, therefore, the environment is not protected but polluted. Admittedly we take public transportations to reduce the air pollution, after we reach our destination, we will definitely consume the sources there, the more people come, the more sources are used. In short, eco-tour may be a good idea but it still has flaws.

We can consume that the government’s power is strong but still limited, so we can not count on them only. But the influence of people is so strong that it even can not be imagine. All over the world there are numberless NGOs devoting in the environmental issues and much more part-time or full-time volunteers take part in this action, too. With their effort, the idea of environmental friendliness is widely spread and they call on more and more people to join them in order to build a vast net over the world to protect our planet hand in hand. Besides the government’s strategy and NGOs’ effort, many charitable funds blossom, providing money for their projects.

In conclusion, except for eco-tour, there are still lots of other ways to protect environment, for example, NGOs’ advertisement. As long as we be ware of the serious environment condition and take part in the actions, we can save our planet better and sooner.
