It is more important to allocate money for immediate, existing social problems than to spend it on long-term research that might help future generation.
Allocating money which the resources we can use to immediate, present social problems that tangled us long time could help some people deal with their problems right now. However, the money, used for the research, could also play a big effect in dealing problems. I would argue that although using money in immediate problems seems more efficient than puts it into long-term research, the latter measure could make a permanent effort on problems.
It is true that the money that we would use it for immediate existing social problems can solve the problems in time. Moreover, it makes a great effort on protecting social security that that money can increase the satisfaction of social citizens as well. However, the problems now which we are facing may be solved for using this money, yet only may it sustain for a short while! So when we encounter a new social problem, the same as the old one, we would have to use more financial resources to deal with the new problems. It is the idea that is absolutely unclear and inefficient that we should use the money more reasonable.
It is hard to image if the human’s progress can continue without human do every aspect of researches. Putting the money into long-term research could benefit for discovering the basis of the problems so that we could solve it thoroughly. For instance, the grasses would be revive in spring if only do we cut the parts of the grasses which grow on the surface of the earth. As it did, many problems need us find their origins, so we could seldom pay extra attentions on the problems which are similar with the old and safe the money to do other meaningful things.
What is more, spending money on researches could also make a felicity for the future generation. Admittedly, doing long-term researches may spend a lot of time and is supported by uninterrupted funds, but it would reduce the happens rates of the problems that we can forbid to use more money in the same area, even the same problems. Our children, our grandson, our offspring could reap the benefits from the researches what we do. So it is definitely worthy of using money in this way, not just use it for solving temporary problems.
In conclusion, I sustain that spending money on long-term research is better than using it for the immediate phenomenon. Not only does it safe the money in a deep respect, but it can give a hand for our offspring, hence we should choose to take the money to the research.
