My answer:
Not long before,a serious gun rampage which caused 32 people died and 17 get wounded happened at Virginia University,The United States Of America.It directly leads to the controversial dispute that if tougher restrictions should be imposed on buying guns.Personally,I recommend to impose tougher restrictions on buying guns.I'll illustrate why I hold this opinion by comparing two different countries which take the definitely oppisite policies on the restrictions of guns,the USA and China.By comparing what's going on in two countries,including the crime rate and people died in the crimes every year,we will find out it's clear that thougher restrictions are much better.
The USA,where people there believe in freedom deeply,almost has no restriction on buying handguns.Due to it,a lot of people including some students have handguns of themslves.According to he statistics released by US government,over10,000 crimes happen each year,of which gun crimes account for 80%.That means over 8000 gun crimes happen each year.Moreover,40,000 people lost their lifes each year and 30,000 of them die in gun crimes.So we can figure out that each gun crime cause almost average 4 people's deaths!Just take the gun rampage at Virginia University I have mentioned in paragraph 1 as an example,over 30 people died in just one gun rampage!And the horror lasted beyond 3 hours at the university where was supposed to be a quiet and paceful place.Above all,all the tragedies are due to handguns!
Let's consider the situation in China.Because of the strictly restrictions of handguns,hardly can anyone get a handgun here.That's why people here in fact live in a relatively safe and peaceful place.Though sometimes crimes happen,most of the time,the criminals hve no gun and people often wouldn't get hurt.According to the statistics released by POC,the department which deals with the crimes in China,every year,less than 2,000 crimes happen and less than 500 people are killed.Obviously and unargurably,the low crime rate and the low death rate due to the tough restrictions of hnadguns.
From the statistics and numbers I've numerated above,clearly,China's crime rate and death rate in crimes are both much lower than those of the USA.And all of these are due to the tough restrictions imposed in China.So,I recommend again that the tougher resrictions on handguns should be imposed with no doubt.
