Some people think that the automobile has improved modernlife. Others think that the automobile has caused serious problems. What’s youropinion? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
With the steam-powered engine models have been developed in 17th,the engine-powered vehicle has been created after the century. That creationhas greatly changed the world during 20th century, particular insome industrialized nation. Some people think that with the urbanization andthe development of highway system, the automobile be called horseless carriagehas forever altered the modern landscape and become an element tool of themodern life. As far as I am concerned, although it improved people’s modernlife, it has brought noise and air pollution, and the automobile accidents rankamong the leading causes of death and injure throughout the world.
During the 20th century, along with greater mobility, the automobilebecame one of the most important transportation in the world. However, thepollution emitted by the automobile, the noise, and the death caused by theautomobile have become one of the biggest problem in our world. As we know,carbon dioxide the main emission of the automobile causes the global warming. Thecarbon dioxide raises the efficiency with which the air retains the sun’s heat.This result the increases of global temperature, which changes climate patters,affects crop production, disrupts wildlife distribution, and raises the sealevel, floods innumerable low-lying island nation and vast number of coastalcities, like Shang Hai, New York.
According to some survey, in the crowd city, the main source of the noiseproduced by the traffic. The automobile can’t be innocent. My bedroom is asidesthe road, every night I can’t go to bed before 12 o’clock, as the noise fromthe automobile make me nervous. Sometimes I am worried that one day I will losshearing or cause high blood pressure because of the noise produced byautomobile.
Furthermore, the death or injure caused by automobile hazard people’ life. Todecrease the high range of the death cause by automobile, government promoteslots of policy and costs a large amount of money. However, the death or injurestill endanger human being’s health even their life. The newspaper andmagazines are full of the report of the enormous car accident. Can we ignorethe tears and the blood of the victim?
Though the 20th century be called the age of the automobile andit will no doubt continue to shape our culture and economy well into the 21stcentury, we can’t avoid the worse condition brought by the automobile. In myopinion, we should promote the automobile which decrease the emission of carbondioxide and install more equipment of security. That will truly improve ourmodern life.

Every generation of people is different in importantways. How is your generation different from your parents’ generation? Usespecific reasons to support your answer.
Nowadays,it is simple to hear that girls and boys always say their parents can’t catchthem. This phenomenon results from our world which changed so dramatically thatbuilt up the different education system, communicate style and transportationfrom the parents’ generation.
When we were born, we faced with kinds ofhigh-technology like computer, television. So we are more appreciatecommunicate with others through e-mail, msn or other way based on technology. However,the parents generation is prefer to use some old methods. As my personalexample, every spring festival eve, we will send our best wishes to ourrelatives, friends or some respectable people as a custom. My parents alwaystelephone each other even call on others by themselves. On the other hand, I’dlike send some flash to express my best wishes to others. I think this way ismore efficiency and more funny.
My parents’ generation more concerned about what otherpeople think about them. So when they buy some clothes, they always ask other, “Doyou think that clothes is suits me?” but the most important thing to me or myfriends is “Do I love it?” I think that’ because of the different environmentwe grown up. I grow up in loosely knit communities, where we only know few ofour neighbors. We don’t care what other people think about us. But my parentshave grown in tight knit communities. As we know, fitting in means one personmust act in certain.
Expect that, my parents’ generation don’t know toenjoy their life. They are more concern about the development of our nation. Theyhave more responsibility about the family, the nation even the world than us. Whenour parents were growing up, the world filled with turmoil, live through a verydifficult era. They make all their all life effort to change this terrible circumstance.We are well taken care with our parents, we just think about ourselves.
In conclusion, my generation is vastly different from ourparents’ generation. Thought we have the higher education, we can use kinds of high-technologyand have more entertainment, we have to learn many good characters from our parents,like their self-discipline, their responsibility for the world.
