Playing games can be traced back to the prehistory period. It is evolved from primitive's activity, including searching food, escaping the dangerous prey. Theses days,  playing games or sports exercise has played a indispensable role in human being. These days, some people believe that the function of  playing games for people is only improve their body condition and keep fit and health, while others are against this point view with holding the thoughts that people can study some meaningful value about life. As far as concerned for me, I completely follow the later one.  

For starters, Playing games can teach people how to take responsibility. It is very important for the development of children and adolescent in psychological level. Take the football for example. When the ending of final game only rest one minute,  a team gets a precious opportunity-----penalty. In this time, If a player can kick the ball to goal, and as a result the team will possibly change the result of the games. However, in this moment, who can be willing to sustain the big pressure to perform this responsibility? persons who dare to take this responsibility will have study when a team stays in difficult situation, they should bravely accept the assignment. To do this, it will benefit shape their strong personality.  

What's more, participating some sports, including football, basketball helps people strengthen the team sense of individual. Nowadays, with the development of our society,  it is almost impossible that a individual can independently complete a large program or achieve the target. In contrast, individualism has a negative impact one whole group. In this period, cooperation spirit may become the paramount. The example of Jordan, one of  the greatest NBA stars  can illustrate this point of view. He once said:' Talent can help you win the game. However, if you want to get laureate of the top glory, cooperation sense stays first position. Therefore, playing a game to some extent teaches people how to contribute their energy for glory of team as a whole and coordinate the relationship between them.

Take Jordan aside, there are million of examples, I could go on endlessly. Based on the above discussion and analysis, we can safely draw a conclusion that playing a game are indeed  conducive to the development of a individual in various aspects.

Grades(marks) encourage students to learn

The history of education could be dated back to ancient Greece, where Plato discovered the Academy. The issue that grades is an excellent thing to make student progress receives argument likewise, while some people think a low grade will make children frustrated about their life, and a high marks may proud a human with confidence, happiness, lead to fall into the next examination. The way I see it, this statement is as absurd as it is harmful.

First and foremost, the remarkable weakness of the view, posted those who believed less score will lead to the lack of confidence, is the ignorance of the fact that painful difficult experiences will knock people down and they will have a hard time, he may felt annoyed, frustrated at one session, after that he will have his own determination and hard-working towards his target. My friend, Xiaoqiang, is a case in point. At the age of 16, he decided to finish his college study in American, and should have taken a TOEFL test.  His first time stepping into the test room without any preparation, you know what, his listening part just got 2 point! What a shock! After that he felt frustrated and keep sad for nearly one week. Then he thought there’s no time for him to cry, the only way to have access to American University is conquer the ETS, which is an ugly organization that include TOEFL IBT test. After painstaking effort, he reexamines the TOEFL test after 2 week and got a score of 110, which totally arrested the IBT. Up to now, he has already study in Harvard University for nearly one year. If you can see it, you will understand it more deeply.

Despite the reason I mentioned above, another indispensable fact will simultaneously come into our mind that is a high-score student will have more and more confidence, which entirely encouraged them to study hard. For example, when I entered my senior high school, I was suffered from those difficult or even complex formulas, which I thought they aren’t understandable.  There’s nothing happen until one day my mathematic score got an unexpected full mark, surprising! From then on, I study mathematic with full confidence and began to love it, and got a satisfied grade in final examination. What’s more, I won an award for the Second-ranking mathematic competition in the summer vacation, that’s cool.

As I mentioned above, whatever your grade is high or low, it influenced your grade at each time. If we pay more recognition to our grade, we will know more the advantage or disadvantage of ourselves. Conscious or unconscious, marks encourage people to learn more. For ambitious young men who are starting out in the world, a century-old Chinese adage maybe the first thing they should bear in mind: study the past, if you could learn more in the future.

Confucius. the greatest and the most philospher and educator of the ancient China, said:"the enthusiasm and passion of studying derive from student's interest rather than others". These days,  there is hot issue about whether Grade can stimulate students to develop their interet about studying. Some people believe that it is indeed effective method to enforce students hard study, while some people hold the opposite point of view about this. As far as I am concerned,  although grade regulation bring some negative effect on students, it is. to some extent, an indispensable "tool" to spur student as devote their energy into study.



For starters,  as standard or benchmark, grade system play a vital role in measuring  the ability and knowledge of students. Therefore, after  taking an examination, the result of examimation can feedback the important information to student. To do this, students tend to understand their weak points. And then, more effort will be paid to accept more useful knowledge. At the same time, my daily experience tell me that when a student get a low-score in his final examination,  in order to keep pace with his peers he will be deligent to study the courses. If he fails to do this,  the result will result in him failing to enter into his dream school or university. Therefore, it is easy to imagine the reason why grade is a powerful agent to encourage study.



What' more, generally in order to pass a examination,  students will gains a valuable opportunity to improve their knowlege scope. Take my  experience to example. Because I want to pursue my Ph.d in America,  I must pass the IBT examination. At the beginning time, my English level stays at low step. Therefore, I hate this examination is so hard. Through being diligent in studying this examination, it is maricle that my four basic English ability are elevated. Now, I appreciate IBT examination very much. This a true story,  in order to get good grade, Practive will help student broaden their horizon.



Taking me and commom example aside, I will go on list the persuasive example endlessly. Nevertheless, I can not deny that grade also take negative influence on people. For example,  according to the reports of China Daily,  Times of Chinese version, nowadays, some students can not put up with the big pressure about examination to commit sucide. Therefore, we need to gradually improve this system and make student find out interest during perparing examination.
