In the lecture, the professor gives some recently studied facts that contradict to the passage.
First, the professor says that the sentinel meerkat is eat fully because it look out for predators. This point is contradicts to the passage which states that the sentinel meerkat stand guard without eating.
Secondly, the professor says that it is no so dangerous for the sentinel meerkat. Because generally it is close to a borrow and escape quickly after gives an alarm. This point is also contradicts to the passage which states that the sentinel meerkat takes more risk.
Thirdly, the professor says that when the sentinel meerkat gives an alarm, this would causes the meerkats which are eating become together and attract the attention of predators. This point is contradicts to the passage too, because it suggests that the sentinel meerkat is less likely to be catched by predators.
Finally, the professor states that some human behaviors which are generally consider as altruism are actually have some beneficial facts for the individuals.
All of these suggest that some behaviors which consider to be altruism is no just a unselfish acts. Therefore the lecture challenges ideas in the passage.
