Topic: When need to complain about the a product or poor service, some prefer to complain in writing and others prefer to complain in person. Which way do you prefer?
In this modern world, people always confront the dilemma of whether to write a complain letter about a product or poor service, or make a face-to-face complain. This problem is a prevalent topic undergoing serious debate in that it affects everyone in his or her daily life. Personally, I would like to complain in person in most cases, while sometimes write a complain letter is more flexible.

The foremost reason for my propensity of complaining in person is that it can draw greater attention from the person whom I complain to, compared to write to him. If I just write a letter to express the unsatisfactory effect of a new air-condition, the common white paper and the regular black letters which have been arranged uniformly lines after lines, cannot reflect any angry appearance, body language, passionate voice, or feelings suggested in my eyes, which I can all express in a face-to-face complain. Obviously, such expressions will have great effect in attracting others attentions.

Then, if I can win great attention from the person whom I complain to, and when I, the complainer, am right standing in front of him, he is more likely to solve my problem quickly. It's harder for him to try to shirk the responsibility or to relay to solve my complain, if I am right in his office, angrily express my satisfaction in front of him, while an ordinary complain letter is quietly lying out of his sight among a thick heap of files and books.

What's more, when I am face-to-face with him, I can immediately know what his reaction is, so that I can decide my next step. When I find him trying to quibble, I can contend with him at once; when I am aware of his ignorance of my problem, I can decide to bring a charge against the company. But after sending out a complain letter, all I can do is just waiting.

Nevertheless, there are still some situation in which complaining in writing is a better choice. If I bought a little wallet from the Internet, which turns out to be bad, and the Internet shopping company is hundreds of miles away from my town, I would certainly like to write a complain letter to require the exchange.
