这边文章我是用自己的经历来阐述主旨，不知道这种写作方式是否可行？

Young adults required to undertake a period of unpaid work helping people in the community.

Recently, there is a vehement discussion on whether or not adult youngsters are encouraged to take unpaid work in the community. Some people who applaud hold that this will provide a good opportunity for the young man to understand the happiness from help the needy. Some who frown, in contrast, argue that money should be paid just to value the work the young people do. As to me,  I definitely side with the former opinion.

When I was a university student, I had a strong aspiration for a MP3 player. It was so expensive that I could not afford it. I also did not want ask my parent for money. Fortunately, I got a job in the   as part-time teacher with at least 300 RMB a month. This was really a big amount for me.

Teaching Chinese was an easy job for me. What impressed me most was the children’s miserable experience. Some were abandoned due to their congenital disease. Most of then even did not know who their parents were. During the period with them, I slept with them and had meals together. I deeply understood what they need urgently is the care and love from the entire society.  I taught them with all my heart, and they treated me well in returen and often invited me to share an apple with them and taught me how to wash the dishes cleanly in a simple way. When I left the orphanage a month later, I gave back my salary to the dean and hoped she could use it to buy the children some beautiful gloves.

Of course, I did not buy the MP3 player eventually, but up to now I can still feel the happiness I share with the orphanages. I totally believe that joys for helping the people in need outweigh the money I get. What should be also mentioned is that I gradually get rid of some bad habits, like getting up late, laziness in my study and dislike to do housework. My independence ability has been greatly strengthened.

I really appreciate the lessons I learnt from the orphanages. They help me understand money is not the only thing in the world. True happiness I obtain when I help the needy is what I will continue to pursue in the future.
