55. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A person should never make an important decision alone. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
When it talks about making decision, people may have different opinions. Some people argue that important decision shouldn't be made alone, for the reason that it is really play a key role in one's life. However, others maintain that people should decide everything by themselves, because it should be their own thing rather than others’. As far as I am concerned, I think a person make an important decision alone or discuss with other depends on different situations.
Take a successful business man for example, he must say that he always make important decisions by himself. There is no doubt that he is an experienced man who has learned a lot from his work. He is calm and wise enough to make decision alone. What's more, a business man is the leader of his company, you could hardly see that your boss discuss some important decision to the men who work for him. So, when a person has the ability to make decision alone, I think there is no need to talk with others. My uncle, who operates a company, told me that, as a successful man, what you need to do is just make your own decision and stick to it.
There will be different when it comes to the children, who are still too young to make decision themselves. Children have no access to attach to the society, so they don’t know that an important decision could influence their whole life. At this particular time, they should ask for help from their parents who are more experienced than them. The parents would like to help the children to make right choice. My sister, at the moment that she chooses high school, she didn’t know which one to attend to. It’s her parent whom she discussed with helped her at last. And now, she is a good student in her school. Without the help from adults, children make important decision alone may lead to bad result.
From what has been discussed above, we could safely draw the conclusion that whether a person should make important decision alone depends on whether he/she has enough experiences. Only through this way can we avoid some bad result comes out.
