Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Young people enjoy life better than the older people.

I can neither agree nor disagree with the statement for there is no clear cut answer to the question. Confucius, the greatest philosopher and most influential educator of ancient china, was quoted in the Analects as saying,” The older people live life to the full and the young people grow happily and work jolly.” Both young people and older people can enjoy life by pleasure and satisfaction. I can not say which ones of them enjoy life better. The main reasons could be listed below.

First of all, as the times progress and society advances, the social welfare work continue to develop. The older people can enjoy more and more care and help which are important to enrich their life. There are more and more golden age clubs where the older people can sing, dance, play chess, chat, and make friends. With the remarkable improvement of medical and health conditions, many diseases can be easily cured or treated. And the older people don’t inflict great pains any more. All these changes are also beneficial to young people. They don’t have to spend more time to care for their elderly parent duo to they are health and enjoy themselves in golden age clubs.

Furthermore, with the development of economy and the improvement of people’s living standard, there is a favorable condition for older people to enjoy life. They have more time to what they are interested in, such as travel, fishing, playing chess and performing shadowboxing. For instance, Mr. Wang, an older man of my community who retired two years ago, are interested in traveling all over the world for pleasure and sightseeing. He goes sightseeing five or more times each year. Not long ago on his tour in Europe, he fed fat on wonders. In opposition to the easy life of the older people, young people have to face all kinds of pressures that come from study, office work, family and society. They always have to work with their noses at the grindstone to support their families. Students who study in universities or colleges have to study hard to gain good jobs.

But on the other hand, young people are superior in age. They are active and energetic, and have more curiosity about new things and more opportunities to try them. In addition, They exercise various dangerous activities and sports, such as bungee jumping, skateboard, and surfing.

Taking all factors into consideration, the older people have their own ways of life and young people enjoy different life styles. Both of them have their own happiness and bothers. （427）

照你的意思说是不是只要他们不需要照看老人就能更好的 enjoy life呢?

从篇幅看描写老人更enjoy life 的要比年轻人的多很多,如果持中立态度是不是应该两者比例相同或相似呢?可以加一些类似 如果老人尝试了这些活动....后果......^_^显得更切题嘛~

as the times progress and society advances建议改为“ as the time goes by" 注”time 一般为不可数名词。
fed fat on wonders这个短语什么意思？
从篇章结构看，如果写中立态度，
建议第一段： 态度
     第二段：老人生活方式
        三    ：年轻人
        四    ：总结
     这样是不是结构更清晰，让别人一眼看出你的观点，尽管观点在第一段已经列出，但总觉的例子条理不是很清楚。
