( k8 l' B+ a3 lI hope you have all finish reading the assigned chapter on insurance so that you prepare forour discussion today  but before we start I ‘like to mention a few thing your test does’t go   in  to  it is interesting to the insurance has existed in  some  form  for a very  long time  the earliest  policies were what we called bottomry contracts  they provide shipping  protection for merchants as far back as 300 bc: c1 L+ P9 \7 {( S" }0 }
In general the contracts were often no more than  verbal agreement  they granted loans   to merchants with the understanding  that  if a particular shipment of goods was lost at sea , the loan did’t have to repaid   interest on loans varied according to  how risky  it was  to transport goods  during period of heavy  piracy  at  sea  f ex   the amout of interest and the cost of the policy went up considerably  so you can see how insurance helped encourage  international trade   even the most  cautious merchants became willing to risk shipping their goods over  a long distance  not to mention in hazardous weather conditions when they has this kind of protection available 0 W, S* a5 U7 b, i
Generally speaking  the basic form of an insurance policy has been pretty much  the same  since the middle ages  ther are four points that were salient then and remain paramout  in all policy today  thesse are outlined  in chapter six   and wiil  serve as the  basis   for  the rest of today’s discussion   can any one tell me what one of those points might be ; d6 z4 D& Q. Q6 ^) v
感觉  很 不好     m 与l 的音不分   还有 听不了长句       我个人认为 一些经常出现而且连读的现象很重的  必须过关      还有一些相似的音必须过关             如  as far back  as    我听不出第一个as     如  that were salient then    我听成 that we ‘re saying them  晕死了% y, A/ l! g* S; U9 c1 Y

Current study show that  what  goes on  labels is important consideration for manufacturers since more than 70 percent of shoppers read food label when considering whether to buy a product ; v+ f. Q% i. M, U6 U
A recent controversy as to whether label on prepared food should educate or merely inform  consumer is over  and consumer group got it’s way  group had maintained that  the product labels  should do more than simply list how many grams of nutrients \a food contains8 }2 o2 }# r6 y) C+ I' s
Their contention was that labels should also list the percentage of a day ‘s total nutrients that the product will supply to consumer because this information is essential in planning a healthy diet% ]3 ]" i" n! u+ m
A government agency disagree strongly  favoring a lable that merely inform the consumer in other words a label  that only list the contents of product the agency maintain the consumer would decide   for themselves  that if the food is nutritious and meeting daily needs ******************************************************************************, m% ?0 |1 c/ Z( d
The shopper were’t able to answer question easily when they were not given a specific percentage ' F/ k7 U2 J" f- E
this study and others helped get new regulation passed and now food products must have the more detailed labels 4 Q; Z0 [6 x& m3 B' e7 i- n! c7 V

I would like to begin by thanking doc king for inviting me to be here today although I ‘am not a geologist I have been collecting minerals for years my collection is very diverse because I traveled all around the whole to find them  today I brought a few specimens   for you to see  after I discuss each of one  I will pass it around  long so youcan look at  them more slowly  as you know   fledspars are the most abundant minerals  and are  divided into a number of types  these first sample  are  orthoclase  notice that they vary in color from white to pink to red  this glassy  one is founded in volcanic rock  in fact I found them in  new Mexican on the collecting trip & n/ ]( U. This next sample that I will pass it around   is microcline mineral  also called amazonstone you can indentify it by bright  green color  it is often using in  jewelry and really is  quite attractive & G* T6 P% {, D
These final samples are all plagioclase feldspars  many  p are very rare  so I am  particularly proud of the variety of my collection 8 ?$ A  f  C5 m2 _) d$ i
