Is it more important to choose a subject of your interest than prepare you for a job or career?
It is the issue that whether picks up the interesting subject or the one which is useful to the future career that recently has been brought into people attention. Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concern, we find that some people hold the belief that choosing a subject for a job while others prefer to decide one by one's interest. From my personal angel alone, coincident with the opinion of many people is my heartfelt agreement with the idea that it is nothing important than choosing a subject out of one's interest. Among countless factors which influence my choice are several conspicuous aspects as follow.
The main reason for my propensity for picking up a subject someone really likes is that choosing favorite subject does not mean that i can not prepare for the future job. On one hand, there are a lot of subjects needed for our society nowadays, maybe including one's interest. On the other hand, it can be enhancing the efficiency if one learns something he really love to, that is to say, he would have some more spare time to do other things which can increase the knowledge and skills. For instance, my subject is medicine, and I would like to be a doctor which would have higher salary and work conditions. Therefore, it is exaggerating to say that making a choice for a subject of interest also can prepare for the career in the future.
To understand the truth that choosing a subject for interesting can really make preparation for the future, it is also significant to see that it is hard to have passion and creativity when people have no interest in their subjects. A good case in point is that my sister, Mary, who was a graduate this year, found a job directly connecting with her subject however, she does not like doing it, and so after a few months she quitted the job because of without passion and creation. Well, selecting a subject for preparation may be right when people find a job, but when they enjoy the merit of that, isn't it necessary that they give some more consideration to the disadvantage of doing that and those people who suffer from it, just like my pity sister. Consequently, wonderful though the advantages of electing a subject for future career enjoys are, they can not compete with the benefit s that picking up by interest brings out, when doing for career is taken into deliberation.
There is one more point I feel I ought to touch on, that is, choosing subject by interest also has some advantages to some extent, Firstly, people can find the job easily when they leave school into society. Equally important to the easy finding job is preparation for career. People have amounts of time and energy to prepare the future job, for example, they can learn knowledge and accumulate major skills. However, our society need good person of all the fields. If all the factors are contemplated, selecting by interest, equipped with much more merits like studying one's favorite major well, knowing a number of knowledge and owing practical skills, can be more reasonably treated as a wiser choice.
